Video: NLFB unveil new live sessions series

Watch Josh Turnbull perform 'Record Player' and 'I Should Be Sleeping'

Sudbury.com is excited to partner up with Northern Lights Festival Boreal (NLFB) (http://www.nlfb.ca) in the premiere of a new live session series called "NLFB Office Sessions.”

Throughout the months leading up to this year's festival, we will showcase local and out-of-town musicians who have either performed or will be performing at NLFB.

Murder Murder, Mandala, and Ben Sures are only a few of the names you can expect to see taking part in the series.

All of the videos are filmed inside the NLFB office at 19 Grey Street - so if you hear some rocking tunes, drop-in and catch an intimate performance.

The project is being spearheaded by Shawn Kosmerly, NLFB’s marketing and communications co-ordinator.

"Having such a diverse and talented history of performers at the festival, it’s only natural to want to try and showcase some of them," Kosmerly said.

Today, we are kicking off the series with last year’s NLFB performer, Josh Turnbull.

With Turnbull’s rich history of performing in and outside of the city, NLFB couldn’t think of anyone better to help start off this new project.

Check out the video above to enjoy Turnbull's moody and somber "Record Player" and the upbeat "I Should Be Sleeping" and get those toes ready for a-tappin’.
