Nature lovers fall in love with Gordon's Park on 
Manitoulin Island. During July and August, Wednesday are
birdwatching nights, Thursday are astronomy nights and Friday
are edible wilds nights. These evening sessions are well
attended and advance registration is advised.
Paleantologist and Algoma University professor Sharron Valli
will present information sessions called Walk a Fossil Reef
July 16, 23 and 29 and Aug. 16, 23 and 29
The popular Moonlight Hike and Wolf Howl will take place
Friday, Aug. 4,  and includes an orientation into wolves,
calling for wolves and looking for evidence and signs of
wildlife on a guided educational hike.
The Manitoulin Star Party will take place Aug. 17-21. It
includes camping, sessions on observing double stars and an
introduction into solar viewing of the sun, in addition to
public observing sessions, laser guided sky tours, show and
tell and swap meet and a social pot luck supper.
