When entrepreneur, Dan Thomson, finished his Fine Arts
university degree and embarked on his own communications
business in Sudbury, he decided that he wanted to sharpen his
writing skills.  Having previously heard of the Word
Guild, Thomson decided to attend a conference that was being
given in Toronto.
Once he experienced the content and the networking provided by
author N.J. Lindquist, and the Word Guild that she started for
those who write from a Christian values perspective, he had a
passion to make this opportunity available for Sudbury and
Northern Ontario writers.
With that in mind, the Writers' Workshop is coming to Sudbury,
courtesy of A.C.E.S., Active Christians Engaging Society, of
which Thomson is part. The guest presenter will be N.J.
Lindquist, award-winning creator of the Manziuk and Ryan
mystery series, the Circle of Friends series, and the poignant
stand-alone novel, In Time of Trouble.
Besides The Word Guild, Lindquist is a member of The Writers'
Union of Canada, Crime Writers of Canada, Mystery Writers of
America, Independent Mystery Publishers, Advanced Writers and
Speakers Association, Christian Writers Fellowship
International, InScribe Christian Writers, and Writers'
Information Network.

or both workshops:
