The Young Professionals Association (YPA) is hosting its
annual awards gala Friday, Nov. 7 at the Holiday Inn on Regent
Street at 7:30 p.m. The gala, presented by Bell, allows the
association to celebrate its accomplishments over the year with
all its members and community supporters.
The YPA will be highlighting a male and female young
professional of the year and an award for best place to work
for young professionals.
"This is an excellent opportunity to celebrate our young
professionals that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to
improving our city as well as highlight an employer who truly
is devoted to employing Sudbury's young people and assuring
their happiness and growth within the company or organization,"
said André Lapierre, chair of the YPA.
Anyone can nominate an individual between the ages of 20-35 or
a workplace that they feel deserves to be recognized for its
leadership, hard work, community involvement and enthusiasm for
Sudbury as a whole. The YPA acknowledges a young professional
that works in all fields including mining, health care,
education, retail, finance and many more Deadline for
nominations is Oct. 31. Nominated individuals do not have to be
YPA members and self-nominations are welcome.
