Youth bikes for donations

Staff at the Northern Cancer Research Foundation recently met with Lindsey Chamberland, 12, who raised money for cancer research in memory of her grandmother, Lorraine Boyle.

She called her fundraising event “Lindsey’s Bike Ride for Cancer” and collected donations from friends, family and neighbours.

Her promise for this event was to ride her bike 10 km, which she did on June 28 at the track at Northeastern Elementary School in Garson.

Lindsey presented a cheque in the amount of $450.25 to the Northern Cancer Research Foundation. Dr. Amadeo Parissenti and the research department accepted the cheque for the foundation.
