The Young Professionals Association (YPA) of Greater Sudbury has launched its 2007 membership campaign and official website.

The event was held at the Cambrian College Student Centre Nov. 30. The centre was transformed into an elegant venue, complete with catering and live entertainment. About 150 young professionals between the ages of 20 to 35 were present.

The attendees of the event had a chance to find out more about the association, its benefits and upcoming events.  The chair, Andre Lapierre, and executive members of the association were introduced.

The website was unveiled along with the list of the benefits of the YPA membership card.  The YPA also announced its speaker series in March 2007.

The YPA's goal is to empower and engage the future leaders of this community by creating opportunities for them to meet and build relationships with other young professionals.

The YPA will assist in furthering the interests and objectives of young professionals, as well as stimulate interest and participation in corporate/business activities.

As a new organization, the YPA will be growing and changing to better serve its members and the community. Stay tuned with the YPA and  upcoming events by visiting the website at www.ypasudbury.com , or by contacting Elyse Rainville at the Regional Business Centre at 674-4455 ext. 4631. To register for a YPA membership, simply email [email protected] .
