12 Days of Kindness: She beat the odds with the help of her best friend and caregiver, we're surprising them both

Linda Brideau refused to let her friend Cindy die alone, 11 years later, the two are closer than ever

Welcome back to day six of Sudbury.com's 12 Days of Kindness, supported by @homeENERGY.

Today’s act of kindness is a story of true friendship.

We're visiting the home of best friends Cindy Robinson and Linda Brideau.

Doctors found tumours in Cindy’s brain and stomach. There was nothing they could do. Cindy was told she had only six months to live.

Aside from receiving a devastating cancer diagnosis, Cindy also has cerebral palsy and scoliosis.

Linda refused to let her friend die alone and took Cindy into her home.

Now 11 years later, Cindy has beaten all the odds and the two are closer now more than ever before.

Watch as we surprised these two friends with an abundance of gifts from Best Buy and Tail Blazers.

Join us again tomorrow morning as the 12 Days of Kindness continues each weekday morning leading up to Christmas Day.

If you know someone who deserves to be recognized for their great deed - we’d love to hear about them. Go to Sudbury.com/AOK to send in your nomination today.

Missed the first five days of kindness? Get caught up here.
