A little less beauty sleep, a little more sun

Don't shoot the messenger, but spring forward is tonight, which means you can say goodbye to those winter blues and also to an hour of precious sleep.

This year's Daylight Saving Time begins Mar. 10 and ends Nov. 3, meaning Sudbury, along with the majority of North America, will have their clocks 'spring' forward one hour tonight at 2 a.m.

While most smart phones, computers and televisions will update automatically based on their user's region, wall clocks and stovetop clocks will need to be manually adjusted to avoid Sunday morning confusion.

Wiarton Willie may have lied about the timing but spring is just around the corner, which means plenty of nice weather to enjoy this extra hour of sunshine in your day.

Take extra caution when navigating Sudbury's roadways Sunday, as motorists may be a bit drowsy from the adjustment.
