If you want to attend the 19th annual Luncheon of Hope this afternoon, hopefully you already have tickets — the popular fundraising event for the Northern Cancer Foundation is sold out.

The guest speaker at this year's event is Gerry Rogers, an internationally-acclaimed documentary filmmaker, credited in over 20 films.

Her Gemini Award-winning documentary “My Left Breast” is an intimate, starkly honest and surprisingly humorous portrayal of her struggle with breast cancer. The film has won numerous international awards including Gold at Hot Docs.

Rogers speaks with humour and kindness to audiences that have gone through, or are going through similar ordeals, who are helping loved ones fight their battles and even those who are lucky enough not to be touched by cancer.
