It took 24 firefighters and nine fire vehicles from four fire stations to bring a house fire on Makada Drive under control on Sunday.

Greater Sudbury Fire Service got the call at about 1:50 p.m. on May 1 to attend to a blaze in the single family dwelling.

The service said in a news release that smoke and fire damage to the home was heavy.

Two people were safely evacuated from the home. There were no injuries.
