All Dressed Up! is a volunteer-led community program that provides previously loved formal gowns to Sudbury students in need of dresses for their prom.

The program was founded in 2009, but has been on a hiatus for the past few years, and program coordinators Stephanie Lefebvre and Shawna Brydges are hoping to start the program up again.

"We have hundreds of dresses in storage but are looking for a way to effectively and efficiently get them to the students who need them," said an email from Stephanie Lefebvre.

"Without the help of partners, we may be unable to get the program back up and running."

What is need to get the program back on its feet is a community partner who could provide a donation of space that would be:

  • Centrally located
  • Available for people to make donations of dresses
  • Could store the dresses throughout the year
  • Be opened up for annual “gown giveaway events” where students come to view and try on the dresses

"Our current storage location is not suitable and requires that all of the dresses, racks, etc. be transported to giveaway site locations. It is not possible for our volunteers to continue with that process," said Lefebvre.

"If we do not find a suitable space to house the program on a more permanent basis, we will be looking to see if community partners are interested in taking over the program as is – taking on the stock of dresses in the current storage site with a commitment to provide them to local students in need."

If you are interested in parterning with the program, or know someone who might be interested, contact Stephanie Lefebvre or Shawna Brydges at 705-562-8364, or email [email protected].
