Sudbury's All Nations Church is set to launch its 8th annual Mountain of Mittens campaign.

“Unfortunately, some kids go to school without the proper clothing needed for the winter season,” the church said in a news release. “Their goal is that all Sudbury school children be able to have fun at winter recesses equipped with warm mitts and toques.”

All Nations is looking for public support to accomplish this goal. Here’s how you can help:

  1. Knit, crochet, sew or purchase mittens, gloves or toques for elementary school age kids (S to XL).
  2. Bring them to All Nations Church, 414 St. Raphael St. between Oct. 10 and Nov. 12, Sunday mornings or  during office hours.
  3. Purchase tickets and bring your mitts to the Sudbury Wolves game on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. where Lead Pastor Sean Morton has challenged Howler to a shoot-out.

“Every year this campaign has delivered thousands of mittens and  toques to schools and children in need across the Sudbury Manitoulin District. All Nations Church needs your help to make this winter warm for all of Sudbury’s children.”
