AOK Outtakes! Filming the 12 Days of Kindness doesn't always go smoothly, watch this year's silly moments

Acts of Kindness producer, writer and host shares some behind-the-scenes footage from this year's 12 Days of Kindness campaign

For the past five years Sudbury.com has delivered gifts, smiles, tears and hugs to more than 90 deserving people, families and organizations in Greater Sudbury as part of its 12 Days of Kindness program.

Aside from not being able to hug, this year was no different.

In spite of a global pandemic, we were able to touch the hearts of many Sudburians this year. And it wouldn't have been possible without the support and generosity of the local businesses who proudly support the 12 Days of Kindness year after year, or the many thoughtful people who nominated a friend or a loved one for an Act of Kindness.

The videos of us surprising these deserving recipients may look like I have it all together, but I can assure you, that's not always the case.

I get asked quite often how I manage to make it through the surprise without crying. The reality is ... I do cry. I just cut that part out, along with many other not-so-smooth moments.

So this year, I thought I'd share some of the silly behind-the-scenes shots that didn't make the cut.

You can watch all the polished Acts of Kindness videos, including the 12 Days of Kindness at Sudbury.com/AOK.
