Although the event was held back in early August, it’s never too late to talk about charitable giving.

The 31st Sudbury CARes Motorsport Expo was held Aug. 6 in the main park in Copper Cliff. The event attracted 291 registered vehicles from the 1920s through to today, and more than 3,000 spectators from as far away as Kapuskasing, Sault Ste. Marie, New Liskeard and Windsor (and even a visitor from Florida who was visiting relatives in Blind River).

Through registrations and sponsorships, the event raised $20,000 for charity. The organizers weren’t specific about where the money would go, but their website states they have supported Independent Living Sudbury Manitoulin in the past.
