A Free Play turned into a big win for Robert Poirier of Azilda when he matched the last six of seven Encore numbers in the July 6 Lottario draw to win the $100,000 prize.
“I was just gassing up one day when I decided to check my ticket,” said Robert as he claimed his winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I had to scan it twice just to make sure!”
The married 34-year-old Poirier works as a manager at a pharmacy and plans to invest his windfall in his daughter’s future.
When asked what it felt like to win, Robert said “It’s like an out-of-body experience.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Petro Canada on The Kingsway in Sudbury.
