A celebration of the 10th anniversary of Better Beginnings, Better Futures' Baby's Breath Program takes place starting at 11:30 a.m. April 29 at the Steelworkers Hall.

“The Baby’s Breath Program provides a supportive environment for pregnant and parenting teenagers to assist in reducing social isolation, enhance prenatal and parenting skills and education, and provide opportunities for young parents to access various resources,” a press release said.

The event will feature the launch of the “We are Teen Moms: Perspectives and Experiences of Teen Mothers in Sudbury” digital story, created through the collective story of eight young women who participate in The Baby’s Breath Program.

These mothers, who, together, form our Mom2Mom Support Group, participated in a two-year research project made possible by the attainment of the Louise Picard Health Research Grant and the support of Laurentian University and the Sudbury and District Health Unit.
