Bad news for drivers: Gas prices spike in Sudbury

Gas prices in Greater Sudbury jumped about four cents per litre over the past day, with most stations in the city now charging 105.9, according to GasBuddy.com.

The cheapest gas in the city, according to the website, is 99.9 at Global in Chelmsford, although that price was reported almost a day ago, and may have changed.

Two Lively gas stations, however — Mac's and Esso — were reported just four hours ago as charging 100.2. 

The most expensive gas in the city is 106.3 at Petro Canada in Hanmer.

In nearby Sturgeon Falls, gas ranges in price from 99.4 to 99.9.

The average price of gas in Ontario today is 99.0. The cheapest gas in the province is 73.0 in Ohsweken. The most expensive Ontario gas reported on GasBuddy.com today is 127.1 in Marathon.
