The Sudbury Chamber of Commerce hosted the 19th annual Bell Business Excellence Awards on May 12 at the Caruso Club.
A total of 10 awards were handed out on the evening to some of the city's best entrepreneurs and businesses.
This year's finalists were:
- Business Start-Up Award, sponsored by Laurentian University: Choose Healthy Now; Minalytix; ARC Climbing Yoga Fitness.
- Innovation Award, sponsored by Cambrian College and NORCAT: Industrial Fabrication Inc.; Maestro Mine Ventilation; Covergalls Workwear.
- Company of the Year Award, sponsored by Northern Life/ Northern Ontario Business: Dalron Homes; Northstar Recreation; Talos Steel Ltd.
- Best Place to Work Award, sponsored by Huntington University: Gougeon Insurance Brokers; Learning Initiative;Rock-Tech.
- Young Entrepreneur Award, sponsored by BMO Bank of Montreal: Fuel Multimedia; Dr. Clean Inc.; MAS Acting Studios.
- Entrepreneur of the Year Award, sponsored by Royal Bank of Canada: CareLink Advantage; Design de Plume; Dominion Construction.
- Small Enterprise Award, sponsored by Regional Business Centre: CentreLine Design Inc.; Home Inspect Solutions; PWL Films.
- New Venture Award, sponsored by Toronto Dominion Bank: Culgins Creative Cuisine; di Gusto Pizza & Pasta; Buteau Core Drilling.
- Hospitality and Service Excellence Award, sponsored by Northern Credit Union: Lakeside Pharmacy; The HourGlass; Salute Coffee Company.
- Chair’s Award, sponsored by Greater Sudbury Development Corporation: The finalists will be identified at the event only.
