Blueberry Bash returns to Market Square

The 26th Annual Blueberry Bash launches Saturday at 8 a.m. at Market Square. Local musicians, blueberry pancakes, free wagon rides, and chance to win a piece of sapphire diamond jewellery will highlight weekend festivities.

The 26th Annual Blueberry Bash launches Saturday at 8 a.m. at Market Square.

Local musicians, blueberry pancakes, free wagon rides, and chance to win a piece of sapphire diamond jewellery will highlight weekend festivities.

Herbert Fisheries will join vendors at the market with a selection of fish perfect for a summer barbeque. Guests can also choose from with a choice of hot foods from a variety of vendors.

On Sunday, local group Stephangelah Band, performs for the first time at the market at noon. The band's acoustic, folk and rock music will complement the activities at Market Square.

Market Square offers the best in local products, according to the city, including: fresh roasted coffee, meats and cheeses, fresh fish, homemade baked goods, hot food, unique jewellery, and other one of a kind items.

Market Square is open Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Market Square will remain open every weekend until October.
