Boréal has province's highest graduation rate

As well, for the ninth time in 12 years, it has the highest graduate satisfaction rate, according to performance indicators released by Colleges Ontario.

Collège Boréal is still the only college to retain first place in two of the five indicators in the province.

The college's graduation rate rose to 79.1 per cent, exceeding the provincial average by almost 15 per cent. The graduate satisfaction rate is at 87.7 per cent, which is more than seven per cent higher than the provincial average.

The employer satisfaction rate and the graduate employment rate are at 85.7 per cent and 84.3 per cent respectively.

Ninety-six per cent of employers have indicated that they would recommend hiring the collège’s graduates to other employers.

At 91.7 per cent, Collège Boréal also has the highest rate in the province of students who indicated that their program provides all the necessary knowledge and skills for their careers.

Ninety-one per cent of students surveyed would recommend their school to friends or other interested person.

"These excellent results warm our hearts and prove that our college continues to improve and beat its own records,” said the college's president, Denis Hubert-Dutrisac, who is retiring from the college in September.

“Collège Boréal is proud to be recognized year after year for the excellence of its programs offered to Francophones in central-southwest and Northern Ontario. This is a lovely parting gift.

“I would like to congratulate and thank all the people who contribute to our success on a daily basis: faculty, administrative and support staff, as well as our board of governors who support us continually. Thank you for your contribution."
