A group of local students will get the chance to learn more about the Holocaust next week.

The Tour for Humanity bus from the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies visits Redwood Acres Public School May 5.

The bus is a 30-seat, wheel-chair accessible, state-of-the-art, technologically advanced mobile human rights education centre that teaches students, educators, community leaders, and front-line professionals about topics of diversity, democracy and Canadian civic rights and responsibilities.

The tour seeks to inspire people of all ages and backgrounds, empowering them to raise their voices and take action against hate and intolerance, bullying and to promote justice and human rights.

Since its launch in 2013, the Tour for Humanity has visited more than 300 schools across Ontario and provided invaluable lessons on tolerance, human rights and justice to more than 60,000 students and educators.
