Callaghan gets NORCAT position

Councillor Ted Callaghan will represent the City of Greater Sudbury on the board of directors of the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT). City council endorsed the appointment last month. Callaghan is the representative for Ward 4.

Councillor Ted Callaghan will represent the City of Greater Sudbury on the board of directors of the Northern Centre for Advanced Technology (NORCAT).

City council endorsed the appointment last month.

Callaghan is the representative for Ward 4. He was first elected in Sudbury in 1994.

NORCAT is a not-for-profit, non-share corporation dedicated to helping Northern Ontario companies and entrepreneurs in the mining, mineral, northern construction, environmental and forestry sectors compete in the global marketplace.

NORCAT assists companies and individuals in the development of unique, high-quality products and processes, and facilitates specialized training.

Established in 1995 at Cambrian College, with the support of the Ontario government, NORCAT has evolved into an internationally known organization with partnerships extending from its northern Ontario bases to more than 10 countries.
