A telecommunications company, a recruiting agency, and an engineering firm are the three finalists for this year’s Cambrian College Employer Award of Distinction.

The award is given out every year at Cambrian’s Career Fair Conference, in recognition of an employer which has demonstrated exemplary support for Cambrian students and graduates.

“We rely on and are so very grateful for the strong corporate partnerships we’ve developed,” said Renee Scott, Cambrian’s Director of Student Success, in a press release.

“Part of our commitment to our students is that when they enroll at Cambrian, we’ll set them up on a path toward a great career. We can do this thanks to the amazing support we get from our strong industry partners, and this award is one way of saying thank you.”

The nominees for Cambrian College’s 2021 Award of Employer Award of Distinction are:

Ionic Mechatronics - Headquartered in Greater Sudbury, Ionic designs and builds control systems, special purpose machines, and complete automation systems for heavy industry, including mining, oil and gas, pulp and paper and automotive.

Ivey Group – Northern Ontario’s only full-service international recruitment and immigrations firm that helps employers find, recruit and integrate international qualified workers into their operations.

Vianet – Founded in Timmins, and based in Sudbury, Vianet is a full-service telecommunications company that has been offering data, voice and television services across Ontario since 1995.

The winner of this year’s award will be announced at the Cambrian College Virtual Career Fair Conference, which is being held completely online, over a three-week period in February, and is free for participating employers.

The Virtual Career Fair Conference is proudly sponsored by Levert Personnel Resources, Greater Niagara Medical Imaging, Kenora All Nations Health Partners and Cormorant.
