Chair auction sends kids to camp

The Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation will be hosting its 6th Annual Charity Chairs Auction June 5-15.

Twenty-one beautifully-decorated Muskoka chairs painted by local artists and sponsored by local businesses and individuals will be up for auction.

All proceeds help support the Sudbury Manitoulin Children’s Foundation's Send-A-Kid to Camp program, which helps hundreds of underprivileged children in our community experience the joy of summer camp each year.

Advance online bidding on the chairs begins June 5, and closes at 4:30 p.m. June 13. To bid online, visit www.smcf.com/auction.

The chairs will then be available for final bidding at Vrab’s Your Independent Grocer June 14-15.

Select chairs can be viewed at the Sudbury Gardening Festival May 25 at the Parkside Centre, while others will be on display in the foyer of Tom Davies Square from May 27-21.

Several chairs are also on display at various Bank of Montreal branches around the city.
