Our Children, Our Future and Rewind 103.9 fm are partnering up to help ensure children in Greater Sudbury will receive a gift on Christmas Day.

The two have partnered for a Christmas toy drive and what will be the longest morning show ever, starting Dec. 8 and ending Dec. 9.

To give a gift to a child this Christmas, visit any Canadian Tire Store Greater Sudbury (New Sudbury, South End, Chelmsford, Hanmer), choose and purchase a gift for a child then give the unwrapped gift to the cashier.

Our Children, Our Future will pick up these gifts and they will be delivered to local children who would otherwise not receive a gift on Christmas morning

Rewind 103.9 morning show hosts Terry and Laura will be broadcasting live from Canadian Tire in New Sudbury.

All four Canadian Tires in Sudbury will be collecting for this toy drive, but only the New Sudbury site will be hosting a live broadcast show this year.

"We’ve got a great line up of important people attending during this event for an on air interview and we are kicking it off with Mayor Brian Bigger at 8:30 a.m. Thursday morning," said a news release from Rewind 103.9.

The station has sent a special invitation to Santa Claus and they believe he will be making an appearance between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday evening. Santa will be followed by a live music performance by Nickel Belt MP Marc Serré.

Everyone is welcome to join the festivities and share the joy with a toy.
