City draining Chelmsford water tank, but work shouldn't impact service

The City of Greater Sudbury will be draining the Chelmsford water tank on today, Aug. 16, in order to perform inspection and maintenance work. 

Residents of Chelmsford will be switched over to the Val Caron system and shouldn’t notice a change in service. Work will continue until Wednesday, Oct. 2 when residents will be returned to the Chelmsford tank.

Should residents notice discoloured water, run the cold water tap closest to the water meter for several minutes until water is clear of any sediment from water pipes.
