Be prepared for a double-take if you have to fill up today — gas prices at many stations across the city have spiked to above $1.30 a litre.

On GasBuddy.com, the majority of stations, whether close to the city core or in surrounding communities, are selling fuel for about 132.9.

There are a few stations both in the city and in neighbouring communities for around 122.9 or 124.9, so you can find a “deal” (relatively speaking).

The average price of gas in Ontario today is 118.9.
