City holding information sessions for MR35 improvements

The City of Greater Sudbury is hosting public information sessions for residents wanting to learn more about the widening and infrastructure improvements to Municipal Road 35.

Public information sessions will be held:

Monday, Sept.27, 6-8 p.m. at Chelmsford Community Centre and Arena upper hall, 215 Edward Ave., Chelmsford.

Wednesday, Oct. 3, 6-8 p.m., Dr. Edgar Leclair Community Centre and Arena, 158 St. Agnes St., Azilda.

Infrastructure improvements include:

-975 metres of water main replacement
-culvert replacement
-road widening from two lanes to four lanes, except from Highway 144 to Notre Dame West, which will be widened to five lanes
-a signed bicycle route
-intersection improvements

Construction is starting this fall.
