Greater Sudbury and CUPE Local 4705 have reached a tentative deal, averting a potential strike by 1,500 unionized members.

CUPE President Darryl Taylor confirmed the agreement was reached last night, but few details are available at this time.

Inside and outside workers at the city have been without a contract since March.
