Cambrian College has announce that two women are the recipients of the President?s Award for Excellence in the administration and outstanding service categories. Winners this year are Gladys Rangaratnam and Lorraine O?Brien.
Cambrian College has announce that two women are the recipients of the President?s Award for Excellence in the administration and outstanding service categories.

Winners this year are Gladys Rangaratnam and Lorraine O?Brien. The awards will be handed out at a special ceremony at the college Aug. 28.

Rangaratnam is the director of research and Development and former Dean of Health and Human Services. She?s been a Cambrian employee since 1982.

O?Brien has been a Cambrian employee for 18 years, where she?s held numerous positions, including secretary in the public affairs office, clerk in the financial aid office, secretary to the director of student life and executive secretary to the dean of student services.

Currently, O?Brien is the support and orientation officer of academic and student services. She is also very active in her community and college life. She?s worked as a longtime volunteer with Camp Quality, a summer camp for children with cancer.
