The Copper Cliff Skating Club will host a community skating event at the McClelland Arena Dec. 10 as part of Skate Canada 150 Day.
Clubs all across Canada will be hosting similar events to celebrate skating in Canada.
“This is a HUGE Canada-wide event that we are so excited to host,” said an email from the skating club.
The event will take place from 12 to 3 p.m. There will be demonstrations and on-ice activities from 12 to 2 p.m., followed by a free public skate from 2 to 3 p.m.
There will be free refreshments, including cake, popcorn and hot chocolate.
