Literacy is important to the ultimate success for children and youth, and thanks to the Cops for Kids program and local organizations and companies, local children will be able to spend this coming Sunday, Nov. 15, shopping for books.

A donation by the Sudbury Rotary Club to the Chief's Youth Initiative Fund will allow children and youth of the Cops for Kids program to spend the morning at Chapters.

Participants can shop for books between 9 and 11 a.m.

"Access to reading materials... is felt to be an excellent investment in a child's future," stated a press release issued by the Greater Sudbury Police Service.

A special lunch at Kelsey's for the group has been sponsored by Neely Financial Services.

Both Chapters and Kelsey's are opening early for participants in the Cops for Kids event, allowing the children to have a "personalized adventure."
