A lack of efficiency at city hall has meant we have missed growth opportunities, says Ward 9 candidate Paul Stopciati.

“These lost opportunities are unacceptable, and I am prepared to step in personally to change that,” Stopciati writes. “If elected as Ward 9 councillor, I will develop plans to meet with developers  from Greater Sudbury and abroad, and work with them through the development process.

“I will make sure that development costs are reduced and plans are approved in a timely manner.”

Full text of Stopciati's letter:

Development is key in Ward 9.

The potential in Ward 9 is outstanding with its vast richness of development land.

The city’s economic development department is responsible for seeking out new growth opportunities without delay. However, over the past several years, we have missed out on a lot of opportunities from developers because of a lack of efficiency at city hall.

These lost opportunities are unacceptable, and I am prepared to step in personally to change that.

If elected as Ward 9 councillor, I will develop plans to meet with developers  from Greater Sudbury and abroad, and work with them through the development process. I will make sure that development costs are reduced and plans are approved in a timely manner.

Together we can bring growth and prosperity to Ward 9 and help our local developers achieve their goals and commitments.

There is so much potential in Ward 9 and together, working with Ward 9 residents, we can deliver. LETS GROW TOGETHER.

Paul Stopciati
