Incumbents did well in the Greater Sudbury 2018 mayoral election, with all incumbents who ran keeping their seats.
The only new councillors are in Ward 4, where local musician Geoff McCausland took the seat, and in Ward 11 Bill Leduc took the seat against five other candidates, which included former city councillor Terry Kett.
Both Ward 4 and Ward 11 did not have incumbents running.
Here's a rundown of the winners:
- Ward 1 – Mark Signoretti, with 2,291 votes, 53 per cent
- Ward 2 – Michael Vagnini (acclaimed)
- Ward 3 – Gerry Montpellier (acclaimed)
- Ward 4 – Geoff McCausland, 1,504 votes, 38 per cent
- Ward 5 – Robert Kirwan, 1,807 votes, 50 per cent
- Ward 6 – Rene Lapierre, 1,649 votes, 36 per cent
- Ward 7 – Mike Jakubo, 2,347 votes, almost 52 per cent
- Ward 8 – Al Sizer, 1,822 votes, 45 per cent
- Ward 9 – Deb McIntosh, 3,170 votes, almost 62 per cent
- Ward 10 – Fern Cormier, 3,611 votes, 74 per cent
- Ward 11 – Bill Leduc, 2,317 votes, 48 per cent
- Ward 12 – Joscelyne Landry-Altmann, 2,237 votes, 62 per cent
