There has been a case of COVID-19 reported at St. David Catholic Elementary School, the Sudbury Catholic District School Board announced Monday.

The individual who tested positive for COVID-19 is currently self-isolating and being monitored by Public Health Sudbury & Districts while the investigation continues, said a letter posted on the board’s website.

Due to the case, the board said the school’s SK/Grade 1 class has been dismissed immediately up until and including Jan. 29.

Public Health Sudbury & Districts is working closely with the school to manage the case, the board said.

They will directly contact all parents of children and all school personnel who have been identified as close contacts. If you are not called by Public Health Sudbury & Districts, you’re asked to follow the general advice in the letter issued by Sudbury Catholic.
