The Alzheimer Societies of North Eastern Ontario have launched a new 50/50 cash draw as a fundraiser for their organizations.

Tickets are now on sale online to benefit the Alzheimer Societies of Sudbury-Manitoulin and North Bay Districts, for the Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma District and also the Cochrane and Temiskaming Districts.

The Alzheimer Society exists to alleviate the personal and social consequences of Alzheimer's disease and related dementia and to promote research. The three North Eastern Ontario Alzheimer Societies work in partnership to offer caregiver support and education, general education on dementia to the public and stakeholders, support families transitioning from home into a care setting and offer intentional programming in our adult day programs, said the website.

The sales deadline for the current draw ends today (Jan. 23) at 9 p.m. The grand-prize draw will take place on Jan. 24 at noon. The winning prize will be half of the sales.

On Jan. 25 at 9 a.m., the combined Alzheimer's Societies will launch their second draw. Subsequent draws will be held throughout the coming year.

The full details and rules for the current draw and subsequent draws are located online.  Details of when winning tickets are drawn will also be shared on Facebook and Twitter.
