A man was taken into custody without incident following a reported dispute in the area of Fleming Street in Val Caron on Saturday night.
Police responded to the scene at approximately 6:30 p.m., resulting in a heavy police presence in the area. During this time, area residents were asked to take alternate routes and avoid the area. They were also asked to shelter in place.
Within a few hours, police reported the lone arrest in both a media release and tweet.
No other details have been provided.
