With election results beginning to flow, Paul Lefebvre has jumped out to a commanding lead in the mayoral race.
Lefebvre has more than 55 per cent at the moment, or 20,354 votes. Evelyn Dutrisac is second at the moment, but that represents just 15 per cent of the vote, or 5,769 ballots.
In the ward races, Mark Signoretti has a slim 200-vote lead over Mark Facendi in Ward 1. In Ward 2, Michael Vagnini has a 500-vote lead over Eric Benoit.
In Ward 3, Gerry Montpellier has a nearly 700-vote lead over Michel Brabant. In Ward 4, Geoff McCausland and Pauline Fortier are neck and neck with fewer than 100 votes separating them.
In Ward 5, a big surprise, Robert Kirwan is losing by a significant margin to Michel Parent, who has more than 2,200 votes to Kirwan's 464. In Ward 6, the sitting councillor René Lapierre is leading, but candidates Michel Lalonde and Scott Seguin are within a few hundred votes of him.
In Ward 7, which is open after Mike Jakubo didn't seek re-election, Natalie Labbée has about a 600-vote lead over Mark McKillop. In Ward 8, Al Sizer as a comfortable lead, with only Patrick McCoy within striking distance of him but still 400 votes back.
In Ward 9, the sitting councilor, Deb McIntosh, has a significant lead as well, with more than a 1,000 votes separating her from Leslie Steel.
In Ward 10, the sitting councillor, Fern Cormier, is leading by a wide margin, ahead by more than 1,200 votes. In Ward 11, the sitting councillor, Bill Leduc, has a 1,000-vote lead over Christopher Duncanson-Hales.
And finally, in Ward 12, the sitting councillor, Joscelyne Landry-Altmann, has a 300-vote lead over Jeff MacIntyre.
