The St. Cecilia String Ensemble and the St. Cecilia Choir will be presenting Hail Bright Cecilia, A Concert for Music's Sake, Thursday, Nov. 29, at 7 p.m.

The concert will be held at the historic Ste. Anne des Pins church in downtown Sudbury.

Guests will enjoy an evening immersed in the glorious chamber musical works of Handel, Vivaldi, Pergolesi and Purcell.

The St. Cecilia String Ensemble and the St. Cecilia Choir will be performing under the direction of artistic director Matt Kallio of Sudbury.

This evening will be hosted by the City of Lakes Music Society, a charitable not-for-profit organization formed nearly two years ago.

Founded in part by Alexandra Lee, former principal cellist for the Sudbury Symphony Orchestra and Juno-nominated Silver Birch String Quartet, the organization fosters the appreciation of classical chamber music in and around the City of Greater Sudbury.

Tickets are $35 for adults and $28 for seniors and students and can be purchased at Long & McQuade, One Sky and through the City of Lakes Music Society. Email info@cityoflakesmusicsociety.ca.
