Sudbury-based Elasto-Valve Rubber Products (EVR) is entering its third decade as a manufacturer of top valves and related products.

Sometimes described as ?one of Sudbury?s best-kept secrets,? EVR has consistently employed dedicated technicians who fabricate hand-built products to demanding engineered specifications and individual customer requirements.

The company, located on Pioneer Road, employs 40 people in the Sudbury area.

The company ships to more than 30 countries from its Sudbury manufacturing facility. EVR is recognized internationally as a key resource for custom-made rubber products and rapid deliveries to North and South America, Europe and Asia.

When first established in 1984, EVR focused on providing the local mining community with top quality pinch valves and replacement sleeves. Within a short time, ETV?s market had become a global one, largely based on its growing reputation for excellence in design and manufacturing and customer service, says vice-president of sales and manufacturing Cal Haynes.

In recent years, EVR has become one of the world?s largest ISO 9001 certified companies to manufacture elastomeric piping products with a complete line of check valves, pinch valves and replacement sleeves, expansion joints and other engineered elastomeric products.

The company?s customer base includes mining communities, nuclear and co-generation plants, food and dairy industries, municipal water and waste treatment, plants, oil refineries, and the pulp and paper industry.
