Friends of Lake Laurentian will host their fifth annual Friends and Family Outdoor Adventure Day on July 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Outdoor adventures that your family can take part in for free on that day include canoeing, stand up paddle boarding with SUP Yoga, archery, pond studies, hikes and fishing.

That week is an Ontario Family Fishing week, so no fishing licenses are required (more information at ontariofamilyfishing.com).

Fishing gear and free bait will be available courtesy of the OFAH Tackleshare program and Ramakkos, and volunteers from the Sudbury Game and Fish Protective Association will be on hand to help. All ages are welcome.

No registration is required and families are welcome to drop in at any time.

For more information call 705-674-8904 or email [email protected] for more information.

You can stay up to date with all of Conservation Sudbury's events at their website or at “Friends of Lake Laurentian” on Facebook
