The Sudbury Hospice Foundation hosts its second annual Scotches & Whiskies of the World fundraiser May 2.
The liquor tasting event is being held in partnership with Maison McCulloch Hospice board member Michel Demoré, along with Tom Mercier, described as a friend of the hospice.
The first Scotches & Whiskies of the World fundraiser in May 2018 brought in more than $18,000 for the hospice.
“These funds were raised to help support the three-year $8.4 million Stand by Me Campaign, which was launched in February 2017 to fund our expansion project, as well as renovate our existing building,” said information provided by the hospice.
“This campaign will directly benefit those living with, or affected by, serious illness and grief.
“It will also enable the hospice to offer ongoing support and training to health care professionals, volunteers, and caregivers who provide this vital care at home and in the community.
