The Sudbury Five fell 113-106 in Windsor on Friday night.

The Sudbury Five were on the road in Windsor to take on the Windsor Express on Friday night, hoping to improve on a 5-3 win loss record. 

Right from the start, the teams were evenly matched. 

Sudbury had big nights from players Landon Kirkwood and Cody John, who scored a respective 26 and 23 points in the game. 

After the first quarter, the Five held a slim lead over the Express, 25-23. 

Windsor stormed back in the second quarter, and thanks to big games from Paul Harrison (30 points) and Chris Jones (23 points), Windsor stormed back to take a 50-47 lead heading into halftime. 

Both teams came out firing on all cylinders on the offensive side in the third quarter, with players such as AJ Mosby Jr. (19 points in the game) and Jalen Hayes (15 points in the game) contributing for Sudbury and Ja’Myrin Jackson (24 points) for Windsor, and after three quarters the Express led the Five 87-83 with one quarter remaining. 

Windsor would score 26 more points in the fourth quarter to Sudbury’s 23 to seal a 113-106 victory over the Five. 

With the loss, the Sudbury Five hold a record of five wins and three losses on the season. 

The Sudbury Five and Windsor Express will take each other on in a rematch on Jan. 28 at the Sudbury Community Arena, with a tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m.
