The Sudbury Food Bank and Apollo Restaurant want to take you to the circus in September.
Have fun and raise funds for the food bank at the Cirque de Sudbury Gala on Sept. 14 at the Caruso Club.
“This remarkable evening will host 350 of Sudbury’s finest showgoers to enjoy a formal five-course dinner, exquisite wines, and a mesmerizing Cirque de Soleil-style show, with the show itinerary featuring all local talent,” a release about the event stated.
Food Bank Executive Director Dan Xilon said the event will make a “huge dent” in the facility’s funding efforts.
“This is where a special event like this 1st Annual Sudbury Food Bank Gala themed Cirque de Sudbury makes a huge dent in meeting the needs of the Sudbury Food Bank,” he said. “No one is expected to feed everyone; but everyone can feed someone. Why not do this in such a way that you also see the incredible talented people in our community.
All proceeds raised at the gala will be used to purchase food stocks for the food banks around the community.
“Prepare to be immersed in an enchanting experience as the red carpet is rolled out and the paparazzi gather in the media lounge to capture the glamour of the night,” a description of the event reads. “The Gala's ambiance will be heightened by formal attire, wine pouring and a tantalizing dinner that will delight the senses.”
Tickets can be purchased at the Apollo Restaurant or the Sudbury Food Bank for $200 each with a $75 tax receipt.
