Even though mid-April is upon us, it seems winter isn't done with us just yet.

There's mixed precipitation (snow and rain) expected from Wednesday to Friday, with snow of about 1 cm expected each day.

There's quite a bit of snow in the extended forecast, including 10 centimetres on Sunday and 10-15 centimetres on Monday, according to the Weather Network.

The forecast of 20-25 centimetres of snow during the second week of April is pretty bad, but it could be worse. Earlier, meteorologists warned that some 60 cm of was possible this week.

Still, with several days to go before that snowfall is expected, the forecast could change dramatically — and hopefully for the better.
