Forest fire update: Hazard rises to high in some areas

While there are no new forest fires to report in the northeast, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says the fire hazard is high in some areas.

As of the afternoon of June 6, the current fire hazard ranges from low to high across the region, with areas in the Far North presenting the highest hazard.

To report a forest fire located north of the French and Mattawa rivers, please dial 310-FIRE (3473). South of the French or Mattawa rivers, dial 911.
