The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry confirmed four new fires in the Northeast between May 19 and the evening of May 25.

None of those fires were reported in the Greater Sudbury area, however. The fires burned in the districts of Algonquin Park, Sault Ste. Marie and Parry Sound.

No fires remain active in the region.

The forest fire hazard is low to high across the region, with the Far North presenting a high hazard.

To see a complete list of fires across the province visit the ministry’s interactive map here. You can get the latest update on the condition of any fire by clicking the fire icon on the map.
