Mine Mill Local 598/CAW has received reports of a person going door-to-door asking for donations of either food or money to Xstrata Nickel workers who have been laid off from their jobs.
The union does not have a campaign in place for these donations, nor does it condone this action. If you are approached by anyone who claims to be collecting for Xstrata Nickel workers, phone Greater Sudbury Police at 675-9171.
