Cremation will follow at the Parklawn Crematorium.

The 28-year-old was employed at the Gogama Forest Products Mill.

OPP were called to a lodge near Gogama last Thursday night after Gareau apparently shot himself.

Local police received information from OPP early Friday morning about the sudden death of the man. Officers were dispatched to the home on St. Michelle Street in Hanmer where he resided with his common-law wife and their two small children.

Police found the body of Fitzulak in the basement of the home. The body exhibited signs of blunt trauma.

Police say the children were not at risk as they had been placed in the care of relatives.

OPP and Sudbury police have established the murder of the Hanmer woman happened prior to the suicide of her common-law husband.
