Your Dollar Store with More in Garson is now offering private shopping appointments for its customers.
"We want to provide our community with an opportunity to get the supplies they need without any health risk," the business said in a release.
"We will be taking every possible safety measure before, during and after every private booking to ensure each customer can shop with the confidence of knowing that they will be protected and that our number one focus will be the prevention of the spread of this infectious virus."
Here's how it works:
- Shoppers can book their 30-minute slots by visiting the store's Facebook page. At the moment, private shopping slots are available Monday to Friday between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Each shopper will receive gloves to wear during their booking along with a disinfected shopping cart or basket. Shoppers will discard the gloves and disinfect their hands with sanitizer before leaving.
- A maximum of two family members per appointment. If you are bringing a child, they must be with you at all times and not touching items in the store.
- Do not bring your own shopping bags. The store will provide them.
- There is a minimum purchase of $20 set for each appointment. Debit or credit card only. No cash will be accepted.
- The store will disinfect all touched objects before the next appointment.
- Do not book if you feel ill. Store staff will cancel your appointment if they feel there is a safety concern and you will be asked to leave.
"We want to be able to provide this service to our community for as long as possible but things are changing daily and this process could be halted or changed at any given moment.
